DJ's from KOSA radio, Odessa Texas as well as other station DJ's will gather for the first time in fifty years to hold a reunion July 18th and 19th, 2008. This event will be held at the MCM Elegante Hotel, 5200 E. University, in Odessa.

Full radio, TV and newspaper coverage of the DJ meeting is expected, and there will be a re-creation of KOSA radio days in the late 50's and early 60's. DJ's at the stations today are invited to drop by and visit during the reunion.

We're commemorating the 50th anniversary of the beginning of rock 'n roll on WPOP in Hartford with a reunion on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at a location to be determined once we have a better idea how many people plan to attend. No special programs or presentations, just radio people getting together, swapping war stories, reminiscing about the good old days, and renewing old acquaintances or making new ones.

Anyone who works or worked at WPOP or any of its sister stations — WIOF, WYSR, WMRQ, WHCN, WKSS, WWYZ, WPHH, WURH — is invited, as is anyone who worked in radio or TV in Connecticut or Western Massachusetts, or is pals with someone who did.

The college station at Southern Connecticut State College will be having a get-together in New Haven on Sat Aug 23, likely at a downtown restaurant.
